Updates, straight from my head

Finally, my new computer is done... well at least the essentials are all in and now it's up and running. Initally had some problems with the video card driver which kept me troubled for about a week or so, but I managed to get it fixed and... I'm happy! May not be the fastest computer around, but at least I can still keep up with technology. Also, at last a DVD-RW drive in hand... I'm so way behind right? Doesn't matter, all these little achievements make me happy, and that's good for me. :p Next up, getting some proper cooling for the computer internals.

The VW Caddy is....sigh, showing signs that its clutch is about to go kaput. It was going aright, until one day by bro told me that the clutch biting point was very very low. He hadda put the foot the all the way down in order to engage any gear.... the reverse gear was even worse. Force the knob into 'R' and you'll hear this gut-wrenching gear grinding sound... urgh! This is gonna cost a lot. :( Also, the driver side door lock is faulty. It was fixed just about a little over a year ago... gosh so much for reliabilty. And that timing belt system.... always in my mind.... 3 more years this car has to last. Strike lottery pls pls pls plsplspls......

Since the begining of the year, work has been... rather slow actually. Somehow not many cars came in, most of the time was spent idling or doing some equipment maintaince or... watch the fishies in the locker room. There has been some changes in the staff movement though. CJ has been promoted to run the workshop operations, taking over Derrick's duties. Derrick now is doing Rolls-Royce full-time and that means he has more time for himself. Was told by him that he's gonna draw up a training plan for me for Rolls-Royce to start next month... heh finally, some PROPER training. I'll still work on the Minis though, probably not as much as before. Tomorrow, we'll be having a poly undergraduate doing his attachment in our workshop for the next 2 months and a half... yay can show my "senior powers" LOLz.

New this year was my weekly classes at AMK ITE. Again it's freakin' far from my home, and with class starting at 8am, i hadda force myself up at 6am and then take the loooong journey to school. Last year, most of the time i skipped a number of classes is cuz of the freaking long journey. This year is no different; i already missed 2 days of classes. :p

In a few days time, it'll be Valentine's Day. So far in previous years, that meant nothing to me. I was joining the thousands of self-denying, depressed singles, telling ourselves "ah who needs V-day? just stay at home and blahblahblah..." This year, I felt that the "let's just sit and wait and hope something good happens" ain't really gonna work after all, so I decided to well, at least make an attempt to "see if I still got it". Recently came to know a girl late last year, and if you somehow always have thoughts about her for no apparent reason and that is not in anyway R-rated too, it gotta mean something right? It's not out of impulse, we hanged out with each other a few times and frequently chat online, having a lot of good laughs and all. Plus with this V-day thingy coming, can this be an opportunity?

Actually, I'm not extactly sure of what I'm doing here.

Ultimatlely, it takes 2 hands to clap. Let's just see how it goes... :\
